Dr. Laura Mooney, DC, DICCP

Chiropractor
I’m originally from Williamsburg, IA. I graduated from Williamsburg High School then completed my undergraduate studies at Iowa Wesleyan College. While at Iowa Wesleyan, I played volleyball and softball and graduated with a B.S. in Life Science, focusing in the pre-chiropractic program. Then I went to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA.

While at Palmer College, I was also in the Palmer Package Club, Motion-Palpation Club, Sports Injury Club, did the clinic abroad program in Ilheus, Brazil, and played volleyball and softball. After chiropractic school, I took 3 years to focus on pediatric and prenatal care and am now board-certified in adjusting infants, toddlers, and pregnant mommies.

I enjoy keeping active and being outdoors – including fishing, hiking, canoeing, biking and volleyball. I also have been helping coach club volleyball for Southeast Polk. I live in Mitchellville and am a member of the Mitchellville, Altoona and Bondurant Chambers of Commerce, Iowa Chiropractic Society, American Chiropractic Association and Thomas Mitchell Days Committee. Malloy Nearmyer, Office Manager

I was raised in Colfax on my family’s farm along with my two younger brothers. My husband Tanner, kids – Brantley & Bexley, and I live in Colfax with our two dogs, Jax & Sadie.

Before working at Mitchellville & Bondurant Family Chiropractic offices, I had only been to a Chiropractor a few times. I now enjoy getting regular adjustments to help with my bad headaches I used to get. My son, Brantley had back-to-back ear infections as a baby and we were close to getting tubes for him until he started getting adjusted regularly. That helped clear up his ears quickly and he hasn’t had one since! Bexley was struggling with teething and would get a bad cough each time a tooth would come. Her adjustments really helped her heal faster!

Outside of work, I enjoy helping on our family farm, going on bike rides and camping at the Jasper County Fair, where my son shows a bottle calf each year. Tanner and I keep busy with working, being with the kiddos and farming.

Mallory Brown, Chiropractic Assistant

I was raised in Altoona and grew up with 2 sisters – one younger, one older. My family moved to Runnells in 2013, where I still live, along with our 3 dogs – Georgia, Ellie & Charlie. I graduated from Southeast Polk before going to DMACC for Business Administration.

Before working at Bondurant Family Chiropractic, I had only been to a chiropractor once for back pain. Since working here, I love being able to get regular adjustments, whether for wellness or a specific complaint. My whole family comes to either Dr. Jason or Dr. Laura to get adjusted regularly.

Outside of work, I enjoy camping, walking the dogs, riding bike, and going to Hawkeye games, the Iowa State Fair and country concerts.
